Grand-maman Lucile
Found a lot of old slides of my late grand-mother. She was an amazing woman. She is the one who showed me how to sew. She made all her clothes (and a lot of ours too). And she was always very "chic" as you can see! Bisoux grand-maman!

They wrote a story on me in our little town newspaper, The Port Townsend Leader. How thrilling! Can't wait to go home... you can read the article here.

Family visit at the island
We had a really fun time with Will, Morgan, Michael and Rhiannon at the island. They just left this morning for their big cross country trip to California. We'll be right behind them in a few weeks!

Japanese Queen
Another fun exercise from a Carla Sonheim class. We had to draw a face with the dropper of an ink bottle and then blot it with toilet paper so the ink spreads out. This is a drawing of the Queen from an old Canadian $2 bill. Funny how it looks like a Japanese print to me.
