My painting got into an art show!

My painting just got selected for the "Spirit of Place" juried art show at the Northwind Arts Center in Port Townsend. Woohoo! I am so excited. Opening reception is this Saturday March 3rd. The show goes until April 2nd.

I am going to Artfest!

Just got my confirmation packet in the mail today! I am so excited. It starts on March 29th and it's 3 full days of workshops, right here in Port Townsend!

My other online class

This is an exercise from my other online class: The art and business of Surface Pattern Design with Rachael Taylor from the UK. She is an amazing teacher and artist. This project was for a fresh Spring wrapping paper pattern using the Pantone color of the Year; Tangerine Tango.

Overnight trip in Seattle

Always a blast with our Seattle friends Renée, Eric and Sophie. And what a lovely bust Renée has...

Our new home for the next 3 months

We rented this cute little cottage in Port Townsend with an artist studio in the back. It's right in town, we can walk everywhere from here. Local bakery, gourmet grocery store, movie theater, boutiques and restaurants. Life is good!

Movie at the Rose theater in Port Townsend

Originally built as a vaudeville house in 1907, the Rose theater ushered in silent films, talking pictures and technicolor. What better venue to watch the movie "The Artist" last night!

Saying goodbye to our friends Megan and Terence, we left the house of our charming hostess Mary in Forest Knolls. I have to admit, we look pretty trashy with the car filled up with junk up to the ceiling!
